NUMBER OF STATES TARA WANTS TO VISIT WITH HER YOUNG DAUGHTER BEFORE SHE GRADUATES FROM HIGH SCHOOL.
Tara Torseth, CPA, MBT
As a Business Partner, Tara focuses her practice on helping clients navigate matters related to trust and estate planning with ease.
Tara is a wearer of many hats, including one that is proudly labeled “mom.” She and her husband have a young daughter, and they love the days when “family time” fills up their agenda.
Family is also important to Tara in her role as a Business Partner. She focuses her practice on guiding families through the preparation of trust and estate returns as well as trust and estate planning, which, given the circumstances, can be stressful and emotional for those involved. For Tara, getting to know the family members and gaining an understanding of their personal values and wishes is what’s most important. Her definition of a successful day: when a client leaves her office with a more peaceful expression on their face than when they first walked in.
Having earned a Master of Business Taxation from the University of Minnesota, Tara also works with businesses across a broad range of industries, including many professional services clients, to unravel complicated accounting and tax matters.
Tara enjoys traveling on her days off, and is excited to share her passion for exploring new places with her daughter as she grows up. When they’re in town, the family of four (dog Eva is happily included in the mix) adores visiting the lake with their extended family.
