NUMBER OF TIMES STEVE HAS COMPLETED THE NORTHSHORE INLINE MARATHON
Steve Anseth, CPA
Nonprofit Group Leader
As the Nonprofit Group Leader, Steve helps organizations succeed by improving their operations and internal controls.
Steve is a regular competitor in the annual NorthShore Inline Marathon—the largest inline skating event of its kind in North America. Each year, he prepares for a successful marathon by developing a race-day plan.
Steve has found that preparing his clients for success requires a similar approach: All organizations need a plan to reach their long-term goals.
In his role at AEM, Steve leads the firm’s Nonprofit segment and Employee Benefit Plan practice. He also helps businesses and nonprofits succeed by improving their operations and internal controls. Prior to becoming a public accountant, he spent 12 years with a large national nonprofit organization. This experience gave him an in-depth understanding of how—and why—nonprofits operate.
Steve joined AEM in 2013 with the merger of Francis & Associates, PA. He has more than 25 years of experience working in and for nonprofit organizations. His experience also includes tax preparation for businesses and individuals.
When he’s not training for the marathon course, Steve enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and kids. Their favorite outdoor activities include hiking, fishing, cross-country skiing, and, of course, rollerblading.
